Enrico Ghinato
Enrico Ghinato (b. 1955, Lendinara, Italy) is a painter celebrated for his masterful depiction of reflections. From a distance, his works appear almost hyperrealistic, but up close, the viewer can appreciate the intricate brushwork and painterly details. Central to his artistic exploration are reflective surfaces—cars, shop windows, and mirrors—which he has dedicated his life to capturing, experimenting with light, color, and depth.
Ghinato spent his early years in Lendinara before moving with his family to Milan, where he initially pursued a career outside the arts. After a long hiatus from painting, he returned to his true passion, gradually immersing himself in the contemporary art scene through exhibitions and museum visits. Since 2015, he has collaborated closely with IMAGO Gallery, producing several projects and solo shows, including Viaggi Riflessi (2017-2018), which highlight his lifelong obsession with the interplay of light and surface.
